Independent self-catering apartments in the Benal Beach complex on Benalmádena Costa, run by a keen road cyclist. Bikes come into the apartment as a matter of course, with stands provided so they need not lean against the walls. The owner keeps tubes, basic tools, lubricant, wax and mineral oil on hand, lends out a work stand, and has tracked down parts locally at short notice for groups caught without. Five curated routes are published, from a 26 km coastal spin to a 148 km mountain day with Strava links, and he will match a route to your ability — this is a mountainous coast where even the flatter options climb eventually. Breakfast is by arrangement at a nearby restaurant, with gluten-free and vegan options.
